- Category A (Student/Early Postdoc): Current student (undergraduate, postgraduate, Honours, Master, or PhD), or early postdoctoral researcher with PhD awarded no more than 2 years as at 1 November 2024
- Category B (Postdoc/EMCR+): Postdoctoral researcher with PhD awarded 2+ years as at 1 November 2024, research and/or academic staff at a university, tertiary education provider, or a non-profit organisation (including government agency)
- Category C (Corporate): Delegate from a for-profit organisation e.g. biotech company
A registration fee includes:
- Full access to sessions of the APCOP-V program and the online Program in PDF. Hard copy of the Program will not be provided.
- Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea/poster cocktail events during the conference, Monday through Wednesday (4-6 November) inclusive
- Beverage and food at the Welcome Reception, on Sunday evening (3 November) before the conference
- Conference dinner on Tuesday evening (5 November)
Strictly for logistic and planning purposes, and to minimise food wastage, you will be asked if you will be attending the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner, although these two events are included as part of your registration. However, if you can or will not attend any of these events (or both), your registration fee remains unchanged, and no discounts are applicable.
During the registration process, you will have the option to buy additional ticket(s) to the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner, for one (1) accompanying person.

If you require a Letter of Invitation to apply for funding from your institution or for Visa applications, simply send us an email to conference@protist-au.org indicating your name and affiliation.
Funding support
APCOP-V has limited funding to support Category A delegates to attend the Congress. Selection will be based on scientific merits of submitted abstracts. If you wish to be considered for this funding support, indicate your interest in the registration form.
Student members of the Australasian Society for Phycology and Aquatic Botany (ASPAB) may apply for travel funding through ASPAB. Contact your society admin for more information.
Student and postdoc (<5Y PhD) members of the Australian Society for Microbiology (ASM) are eligible for discounted registrations, funded by ASM. Contact your society admin for more information.
